Janice Maffei to Speak on Innovation

Janice Maffei, a founding partner of VisionFirst was selected to speak on “Creating A Culture Of Innovation” at the Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) regional conference at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch NJ. The conference theme, the Transformation of HR, will draw hundreds of human resource professionals and business consultants from the tri-state area.

“Innovation is the competitive edge for organizations,” Ms. Maffei says. “Without a culture that enables risk-taking, tolerates failure and learns from mistakes, there’s little chance of winning in the marketplace long term. Human resource organizations have a responsibility to nurture such an environment by coaching managers and challenging the status quo.”

Ms. Maffei will be joined by Ellen Sinclair, a regional vice president for Benchmark Hospitality International. Benchmark is a premier provider of conference center management and resort services across the country. Known for their innovative service and engaging culture, Benchmark has partnered with VisionFirst on a number of company initiatives, most recently on an innovation program for managers and their teams. Sinclair has served as General Manager of several of the distinguished properties in the Benchmark portfolio, as well as corporate HR executive, before her current assignment.
