The VisionFirst Team

Meeting through a mutual friend in 1995, Janice Maffei and Joanne Spigner felt an immediate values synch which has played out in the many engagements they have collaborated on through the years. In 1999 they formed VisionFirst LLC to bring their varied experiences and skills to businesses, non-profits and civic organizations.

Janice Maffei

Work experience - Sales, sales management and training; founded predecessor company, Inventerprise, in 1985

Volunteer Leadership - Board of Trustees for Metro NJ Red Cross, 12 Miles West Theatre, and Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair; Circle of 100 Women  founder, supporting Women for Women International

Education - BA, Chestnut Hill College. Creative writing student at NYU and Skidmore College 

Joanne Spigner

Work Experience - Executive positions at Prudential Financial including managing director of leveraged finance, training director, vice president of work-life programs. Jordan Marsh (now Macy's) divisional branch manager and buyer

Volunteer Leadership - Colgate University Trustee, immediate past president of Colgate's alumni association, recipent of distinguished service award. Leads numerous initiatives in her local community

Education - MBA in finance from NYU's Stern School. BA in Psychology from Colgate University
